About Us Memphis Area Golden Retriever Rescue is a non-profit Tennessee Corporation and also recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization making all donations tax deductible. MAGRR was formed in August of 2001. Our mission is the placement of homeless golden retrievers in loving homes, and to the education of responsible pet ownership. MAGRR also works with several groups in the New England - New York area to place our goldens in very special homes in the Northeast.
