UPDATE 2/17/2011
Jonah and
Jules are doing really well. Both have lost about 30 pounds and
are beginning to show those nice figures. They are so much more
active than they were and are walking each day and playing with their
foster mom. They are truly a miracle before our eyes. While
both were heartworm positive, Jules has tested negative at her last
visit, so we are hoping that Jonah will do the same next time.
They are on the protocol of Doxycycline and Advantage Multi. Both
are happy and loving life. We will keep you posted on their
progress. Just look at how fabulous they look.

UPDATE FROM CAMP
Jonah
& Jules had to go visit another foster home while there regular foster
Mom underwent back surgery. (She is recuperating just fine and will get
them back before too long). In the meantime this pair is living on
a farm with donkeys and several other Goldens. They are getting
lots of exercise in the yard keeping up with all of their new friends.
Julies likes to sleep in in the mornings but Jonah is up with the rest
of the gang at 6:30. They are such a sweet pair and definitely

Jonah & Jules made their first trip back to
CPH (our clinic) for a weight check and to visit their old frien at CPH
where they were welcomed by a large group of friends. They are
losing weight and are doing well. Dr. Mangum was very impressed
with the care that Amanda has given them. Thank you Amanda.

Everyone was so happy to see them and give them big hugs

Jonah was happy to have his picture made on the scales, but Jules, being
a true female did not want her picture taking on the scales. She
says a lady's weight is a private matter.

UPDATE 7/18/2010
Jonah and Jules have
gone to their foster home and they are just doing great. Foster
Mom, Amanda, reports that they seem to be adapting well. The like
their beds. Jonah likes tennis balls. He likes for Amanda to
throw them and he gets them and brings them back. He even takes
his tennis ball to bed with him sometime. These 2 are enjoying
having love and being inside a comfortable house where they are no in
the elements. More as the continue with their weight loss program
so that they can be treated for their nasty heartworms. They are
going to be so beautiful - just wait and see!!

INTAKE REPORT 6/28/2010
The uncaring owners dropped
these 2 off at a local high kill shelter not
caring what happened to them. They
were in terrible condition. Both obese
to the point that they can hardly walk.
Their fur was so matted and full of mildew
that they had to be shaved. They came
to us so depressed, but slowly with the
wonderful care that our doctors and staff
are giving them, they are starting to
believe that life might get better.
They have a long haul ahead of them
including treatment for heartworms.
That can't be done for a long while until
they have lost weight and are in better
health. They are only 10 years old,
and are going to be absolutely gorgeous when
they are brought back to health. In no
time they will be as beautiful on the
outside as they are on the inside. MAGRR is
going to do everything thing to keep them
together.
