FOSTER
UPDATE 2/27/2012
Lola is making
good progress on her weight loss goals. She has lost 9 pounds and has
taken a couple of inches off her waist. She is getting up and down the
stairs more easily and is beginning to run around in the backyard. When
she sees a squirrel, she tries to chase it. She also tries to engage her
foster sister in play, but her foster sister doesn't seem interested.
She has a very sweet-sounding bark; it sounds more like a small dog than
a golden. She doesn't seem to be terribly storm-phobic. She noticed the
thunder last time we had a storm, but didn't seem too upset by it. Her
coat feels wonderful; it's hard to stop petting her because it feels so
good, and she doesn't mind! Once she sheds some more pounds, she will be
absolutely stunning!
FOSTER
UPDATE 1/31/2012
Lola is a very sweet and calm dog. Her coat is thick and very soft and
silky. She is extremely overweight which makes it difficult for her to
get up and down steps, but she is getting better and even running a
little bit. She is on a special diet and is starting to slim down. She
gets along great with her foster sister. As she feels better, I'm sure
we will see her true personality emerge.
INTAKE
REPORT 1/16/2012
Lola and Doc were orphaned when their owner died, and they were left to
live their lives by themselves in a backyard all alone. A family member
faithfully came to feed them twice a day, and this was very bad for
sweet Lola. She is super heavy! She is suffering terribly with this
weight, and has difficulty moving quickly. Both are sweet, kind and
gentle. Lola has won over all of the staff at our clinic because she is
such a happy and sweet girl. She is just so easy and just wants
someone to love her. She has already begun her weight loss program
and is going to be gorgeous when she slims down. This duckling is
on her way to being a beautiful swan.
