FOSTER UPDATE 11/28/09
Payton has been with us for a week today.  She is a little 14 year old lady.  She is thin but eats well & loves to sleep on her own blanket.  She weighed in at only 42 lbs & would probably be just right with another 3-4 lbs.  She joins right in with the other three goldens in whatever they are doing at the moment.  She has a very sweet disposition.  In spite of being up-rooted from her former family due to an employment change, she has adapted very well.  I feel bad that they must be very lonely without her.  Her health is very good, although she is sometimes slow getting up & her rear end is bothered some by steep stairs.   She has clearly been well cared for.  She does not behave like an "old dog," but does have some hearing loss.  We have been calling her Aunt Polly because Payton just didn't seem to us to fit.  She is a calm, sweet, wonderful companion!

Intake Report 11/20/09
Peyton was surrendered by her owner when they moved and sadly did not make arrangements to take her with them.  She came a bit confused as to how this could happen to a sweet senior lady.  She was examined by our super vets and deemed to be healthy for a senior.  She is very sweet and sure loves being loved.
