Intake Report 2/21/08

Charley came from an owner in ARK who had him chained in the back yard because he can open a latch to escape but once the fence was secured he was unchained.  They ultimately decided it was in his best interest to  surrender him.   He is a big handsome lad and very friendly.  He met some other dogs and was fine with them.  He rode well in the car and just wants someone to love him.  He had not been to the vet since Aug 04, so he needed everything.  He is heartworm positive because he hasn't been on preventative since 2004, he will have the split treatment - 1st one on 2/25 and double treatment 30 days later.   He is very sweet, but we understand that he does like to chase cats.  More after he goes to his foster home.
