FOSTER UPDATE 4/10/08
Ginger's vet say her this week thought that she looked great! Her heart murmur is still there, but no better or worse than it was in September. Her blood work came back today looking so much better.  She's now started a 30 day cycle of antibiotics to hopefully take care of any residual infection from a long time ago....

She is continuing on her medication for her heart and despite all of this, she is great and you'd never know that anything was wrong with her!

Here's a picture of her on her bed- she's like an old queen sitting on her throne!  She is one special girl.

FOSTER UPDATE 12/21/07
This special girl has come such a long way.  She has gained weight and is just doing wonderfully well in her foster home. Her foster family report that she is just about perfect.  She goes back to visit her doctor after the Holidays to see get a recheck. She is a love!!!

FOSTER UPDATE 10/24/07
Ginger seems to be doing well. She's an absolute delight to have around. She
is eating well, and has put on more than 7 pounds in the past month. Her fur
seems to be growing in some, and she seems perkier compared to when we got
her. She loves to go on walks, play outside, catch tennis balls and wrestle
with Jonah (our Golden). She now knows her name, and knows how to sit. She
is always available for a cuddle, and loves for someone to pet her. Her tail
wags constantly, and makes loud noises as it hits furniture and walls.
Currently, she's on 2 diuretics for her heart, and has finished all
antibiotics prescribed to treat her lung infection. She goes back to the doctor
10/25 to be checked.

Update 10/9/07
Ginger has gone to her foster home to try to gain some weight and strength so that she can be treated for heartworms.  She is just to malnourished to be treated.  She is loving being loved and foster reports that she is just the sweetest girl ever.  She goes back to vet in a couple of weeks to see if she is able to be treated.

Intake Report 9/20/07

This is a sad looking little girl - a virtual bag of bones. She was found as a stray in Arkansas and obviously has not eaten very well lately.  She is very calm and sweet.  Our vet clinic is giving her a through examination. The vets say she is about 7yo.  She weighs 55# and is HW+.  The staff at our clinic has already decided that this girl is very special.   She is an absolute love and has not stopped wagging her tail since she arrived.  It is very sad that being in a clinic is such a wonderful thing from whence she came.  This girl will make some family very happy to have her as a member.  She is truly a special Golden Girl....
