Gerry Wartenburg, Foster Coordinator, works with the other Board Members to place MAGRR's goldens in a loving foster home. Foster mentors are available to work with new foster homes to give help, insight, and guidance. Together the team works to give the dog new hope.

We are pleased to announce that Alan Turner, CPDT, CBC, of How's Bentley graciously serves as our consultant for any behavior issues that might arise with a foster dog.  Alan is available by phone to help with any issues that might come up while fostering a golden.

We have about 25 really active foster families that are such angels and take dogs on a continual basis.  We also have several vacation foster homes who will take a dog while the regular foster is on vacation avoiding the necessity of boarding.

MAGRR really needs foster homes. It doesn't matter if you haven't had experience...we can help you learn! What matters is the love and guidance these dogs need to prepare them for their permanent homes. If you have that love, we have a volunteer opportunity for you!
