The Radio Flyer ...a story about Hopper Clifft Hopper came to us from another rescue group and she was an old girl. We were originally fostering her but it only took about one day for us to realize that she belonged with us. She was estimated to be about ten years old and she had quite a few problems with those old bones of hers. That never stopped her from wanting to be included with the younger ones, though...especially on our walks. My husband and I had to figure out a way to include Hopper without making her too tired. She would do well for about the first ten minutes, but then she would be noticeably fatigued and her legs would just give out. It was pitiful, but we were determined! My husband and I were walking around in Wal-Mart one night and we saw a Radio Flyer. Instantly the plans began formulating! The next night, we took the Radio Flyer with us on the walk and in about ten minutes, when Hopper grew weary, we patted it and she hopped right in. She grinned the whole rest of the way and was able to keep up with those younger dogs! The Radio Flyer
