We have two of our own sweet, spunky, messy and loveable goldens: Lucy (2 1/2 years) and Jake (1 1/2 years).

 

Last spring we took them to the reservior for the first time. We found a nice little spot along the edge that had a beach of sorts and a cozy picnic area. I was a little anxious about how Jake would act because he'd seemed nervous in the past around water. I knew Lucy would love it because she goes head first into the hose when we're watering something. In the first few minutes we were there, all my fears were relieved. Jake LOVED it! He ran and ran and ran. He bit at the waves. He picked up sticks. He chased the ball and frisby. When we were getting ready to leave I was putting his collar back on and he looked longingly at the water and whimpered. He didn't want to leave! I'm pretty sure he enjoyed it more than Lucy. My father in law took some great pictures which I have attached. I'm also sending a more recent one of them.
